My Story
I've always loved candles. The way they smell, the ambiance they provide to every room, and then my couch caught fire. I swore I'd never allow another candle in my home. That was in 2007. I'd never heard of Scentsy prior to Christmas 2009, when I received my first plug-in. My sister-in-law gave it to me, along with a scent that smelled of the 50-50 ice cream bars (orange and vanilla). I fell in love with the product and scent instantly. That was a month after I lost my job of 13 years. I read how I could start my own business for just $99. Since I never heard of Scentsy, I figured I might be in a prime area to start selling. Since I wasn't working, I met my friends at the local bar for a couple of cocktails and some lunch. I pulled all 80 samples out and layed them out on the bar. Soon everyone was coming over and smelling. Before I left that evening, I had 7-10 orders to place. That was just my first day.
